virginia loves exploring and often finds herself drawn to the back door, where she plays quite happily with the swiffer and our flip flops. she is becoming more independent and quite skilled at getting around. she is a lot of fun at this age!



thanks once again to aunties amy & erin for the cool comic book shirt. it is a favorite and one of the only articles of clothing that's always out in rotation!

virginia is beginning to spend a little time in her room. since she slept with us for so long and aside from that, was always with us wherever we were, she didn't have much of a chance to hang out in her room until now. she enjoys it (provided we're in sight!)

it is so true that dads are intuitively skilled when it comes to playtime. greg can almost always get virginia to smile, even when she's at her crankiest. he is an awesome dad!

well, it's more like a cackle, but virginia has always made old man noises! she was so happy when we were playing after lunch and i'm happy i caught a little of it on video.

virginia got to hang out with her friend ezra today. it was a beautiful day! and so fun to see them interact now that virginia is beginning to notice/like other babies. for the first time, ezra inspired one of her trademark high-pitched squeals, which he tolerated quite well.

trip to the coast

it was beautiful! it reminded me so much of australia's great ocean road. and of course, virginia had a blast. she just loves traveling and seeing new things.
