a man at the grocery store the other day remarked that virginia was "such a contemplative baby". we took this picture today at a picnic and i thought of his comment when i saw it:

virginia is so cute- she "talks" all the time now, though mostly it's at home when she's in a good mood. we caught some of it today while we were out to lunch:

birth-to-three

birth-to-three is a eugene institution. it really is a great organization. we belong to group for new parents and we meet twice a month to discuss various topics and get to know other families with babies virginia's age. here are a few photos:

this was virginia's first trip so it was pretty exciting. we were wondering how she'd take to being in a car and carseat and she was totally fine. virginia is a great traveler! i really think she enjoyed checking out a new city and seeing new things. we're looking forward to more trips with her.
